Q. Are these courses recognized ?

A. The programs are offered as a part of the Twinning Off- campus Program in collaboration with Annamalai University , Department of Medicine ( UGC, DEC ,AIU Recognized , Government University ) 

 Q What is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Triple specialization MBA (Hospital Management ) Program at IHMS?

A.The eligibility criteria is as follows :

Graduates

  •  A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
  • Should have taken any one of the Management Aptitude Test conducted by AIMA (Valid Score) or the Aptitude Test of the Institute of Health and Management Studies..
  • Candidates appearing at the final year examination of the Bachelor's degree or waiting for the results of their final year degree examinations in 2009 may also apply. Selected candidates will be given provisional admission.   They will be required to produce evidence of their graduation within two months of admission.
  • The selection will be made strictly on merit basis through Management Aptitude Test conducted by All India Management Association, New Delhi or the Aptitude Test of the Institute of Health and Management Studies.

Working executives/professionals

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
  • Minimum of one year relevant work experience in the healthcare sector if not working, then any professional degree of any University.
  • Such candidates are exempted from written Management Aptitude Test or the Aptitude Test of the Institute of Health and Management Studies.

 

Q. What is the criteria for admission in TRIPLE SPECIALIZATION MBA Program at IHMS ?

A. A selected number of eligible applicants are called for group discussion and interview on the basis of their graduation and MATscore. In case the student has not applied for MAT then the student needs to write the ATIHMS at IHMS . It  is a small aptitude test with the student required to score 50% for admission.
The final selection is done strictly on merit and performance in GD and interview

 

Q . What are the eligibility criteria for admissions in PG Diploma in Health Sciences

A. The eligibily criteria for the various programs are as follows :
a)Preventive Cardiology - MBBS
b)Maternity and Neonatal Care - MBBS
c) Family Medicine - MBBS
d) Public Health - MBBS, BDS, BPT, BOT or B.Sc in nursing/health science/ Biotechnology or BSW or other equivalent qualification and involved either in:
Public health activities at community, hospital or district level,
In directorates of health services, public health or family welfare
In other health-related organizations
In-service candidates working in central, state and local governments with at one year of service in the health sector.

Applied Ergonomics a) BPT, BOT, BTech, B. Arch
                                b) B.Sc (Designing) or B.Sc (Industrial Hygiene)

 

 

Q.  Does the institute has some tie – ups for imparting practical training ?

A.  IHMS has tie-ups with reputed hospitals such as OJJUS MEDICARE, ( 300 bedded Hospital). The students will also undergo practical hands on training in other hospital such as Christian Hospital, Bombay Hospital , Wockhardt Hospital , Sir Ganga Ram Hospital , Moolchand Hospital , Naryana Hridalaya.

 Besides this the student also has to undergo compulsory training for FIRST AID ( St. John’s Ambulance Brigade ) and various reputed National & international NGO’s as a part of Healthcare management.

The student will also undergo compulsory training in Central Govt. Undertaken programs in DOTS Project, NACO/AIDS Control  Program and RCH Program run by MOHFW, GOI.

Q. What are the job prospects after doing this Triple Specialization MBA
( Hospital management Program )

Q.What do I need to do to apply for this program?

A.You need to collect an application form from the institute or may  download the form from our website (www.ihms.in). Photocopies of relevant documents (mark-sheets, MAT score card, etc.) should be attached to the application form. In the latter case the application must be accompanied by a demand draft/Cash of Rs. 650/- and send to the institute.

The institute will correspond back to the student once it receives the application form.

Q. will the college help me in applying for study loan ?

A. Yes , the college will provide full assistance in facilitating loan to the student.

Q. Are the PG Diploma Programs in Preventive cardiology, Family Medicine , Maternity and Neonatal Care recognized by the Government ?

A. All the PG Diploma programs are recognized by GOI, UGC & DEC. The Programs are also recognized by UNICEF & WHO. Henceforth all the medical graduates who so ever would be pursuing these programs are eligible for central & state government jobs.
